That’s right, homemade! I was intrigued too! Basically you paint your nail polish onto plastic and then ‘glue’ them on with clear nail polish (it’s explained a lot better in the tutorial!) This would be a great way to try out some of those nail art tutorials I see but aren’t game to try because I’m pretty terrible at painting my right hand!

posting without a source is unfortunately pretty common, but it doesn’t have to be. with a few minutes of hunting, you can make sure the artists you like get credit for their work! :) hope this is helpful.

The Where, the Why, and the How?

This looks to be a very cool science/art intersection, with 75 artists interpreting 75 great scientific questions in their own styles. From “What’s the structure of water?” to “What drives plate tectonics?”, it’s at least a strong contender for a spot on the coffee table.

Of course, these aren’t detailed and technical scientific illustrations, which seemed to piss off a couple of Amazon reviewers, but rather a more creative turn on scientific mysteries, accompanied by simple explanations. Check out more at Discover’s Visual Science.

German artist Ich Bin Kong placed the words “Jump for My Love” at the bottom of the humongous pool. His mission was to place a message where people wouldn’t expect it. The phrase is not only encouraging and provocative, it’s a reference to that hit 80’s song by the Pointer Sisters.
